The machine to choose when the smaller cabinet keeps up on an average day and falls behind on a good one. It holds the same footprint and the same storage as the 35, and puts the extra capacity into production, which is exactly the trade a busy bar wants: the bin refills between rounds instead of after them. Typical homes for it are a cocktail bar, a restaurant running two services, a hotel with a pool or terrace, and any site where ice runs out on Saturday and nobody notices on Tuesday. Both cube sizes are available, and the discharge pump version solves the installation where the drain is nowhere near where the machine needs to stand. Every machine in the range runs on R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant with a global warming potential close to zero, so the installation stays clear of the F-gas phase-down that is steadily pricing older refrigerants out of the market. Air condensation suits a normally ventilated room. Water condensation is the answer when the space runs hot, when the machine sits in a closed cabinet, or when the extra output matters more than the plumbing. Discharge pump (DP) The versions marked DP leave the factory with a discharge pump fitted. It lets the machine stand away from a drain, or share the drain of a nearby sink, because the pump lifts the waste water instead of relying on gravity. It moves 3.8 litres a minute and can push water up to 30 m horizontally and 1.5 m vertically. In practice that is the difference between putting the machine where the work happens and putting it against the one wall that has a floor drain. The pump is installed during manufacture and cannot be added later, so it has to be chosen with the machine.
