The largest self-contained machine in the range: it still slides under a counter, but the bin holds 40 kg, which is where an under-counter machine stops being a top-up and starts being the whole ice supply for a busy floor. It belongs in a high-volume bar, a hotel, a banqueting kitchen or a venue that opens a second service point in summer. Every machine in the range runs on R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant whose global warming potential is close to zero, so the installation stays clear of the F-gas phase-down that keeps pushing older refrigerants up in price. Air condensation suits a normally ventilated room; water condensation is the answer when the space runs hot, when the machine is boxed in, or when the extra output matters more than the plumbing. Discharge pump (DP) The versions marked DP leave the factory with a discharge pump fitted. It lets the machine stand away from a drain, or share the drain of a nearby sink, because the pump lifts the waste water instead of relying on gravity. It moves 3.8 litres a minute and can push water up to 30 m horizontally and 1.5 m vertically. The pump is installed during manufacture and cannot be added later, so it has to be chosen with the machine.
